On Wednesday, the 135th Street Agency was honored at the 2014 NAMIC Excellence in Multicultural Marketing Awards (EMMA) Luncheon at the Marriott Marquis New York, where their campaigns for TV One (“Are You That Girl? Mall Takeover Tour”) and MYX Fusions Moscato (Product Launch Campaign – July 4th Kick-Off Cruise with Nicki Minaj) earned 1st and 2nd place Grassroots and Experiential Marketing trophies. This is the second year in a row that 135th has received two EMMA awards for its marketing work. 135th is in great company, as other 1st place agencies/clients include Comcast, Telemundo, Burrell Communications, Grupo Gallegos, HBO and more.

The award ceremony was followed by a private dinner later that evening at STK Downtown, where top business, media, and entertainment entrepreneurs celebrated the NAMIC wins and the overall evolution of the 135th Street Agency.

Prior to the champagne toast, 135th Creative Director Shawndra Diaz unveiled the new 135th Street Agency logo marking a new era for the company. Guests enjoyed specialty cocktails sponsored by CIROC, MYX Fusions Moscato, and D’Ussé Cognac, signature 135th cupcakes by Tres Chic Cupcakes, hair products from Dr. Miracle’s and gorgeous white bouquets by Makini Regal Designs.

The night closed with lots of hugs, well-wishes and a fun, trivia-filled giveaway of exclusive MYX Fusions gift baskets won by Datwon Thomas, JoiMarie McKenzie and Shannon Lanier.
