I’ve been meaning to write a story about this all week. I want to say a super congrats to radio vet Tony Scott on a brilliant move to a great company Service Broadcasting. To be honest, when I first heard about the opening it actually crossed my mind to apply for it and I have not had the desire to work in radio for years but I’ve always wanted to know what it would be like to work for great black station that takes really good care of its employees. There goes my opportunity! (lol) Scott has an extremely loyal following in St. Louis and he has been on a radio roller coaster with the airwaves there for the past few years. That had to be incredibly frustrating for someone with that kind of talent and legacy. He should be full-time even though he took a part-time gig as a weekend personality for Radio One in St. Louis. He is now in his home state of Texas and full time at KRNB. I absolutely love stories like these in the industry with happy endings but unfortunately they are so rare.
