Creative marketing agency Team Epiphany announces the July 24 launch of the sixth year of #SUMMERFRIDAYS – an invite-only event concept executed with media partner Complex.
“We’re elated to partner with Complex. Our visions align perfectly—they share our enthusiasm for making New York culture pop,” said Team Epiphany Co-Founder and Managing Partner, Coltrane Curtis. “At Team Epiphany, we not only respect our clients, but also our community. #SUMMERFRIDAYS is the embodiment of this unique positioning – born from an insight that most influential New Yorkers who don’t flock to the Hamptons for the weekends, lack memorable summer experiences. We’re happy to bring them that.”
Additional #SUMMERFRIDAYS 2015 partners include the world’s best tasting tequila, Tequila Avión, JBL premium audio, New Era Cap, a global leader in athletic performance headwear and Heineken. Each week, Sirius XM’s very own DJ Wonder will record his set and distribute it for download courtesy of JBL. New Era will host a cap customization station for guests.
This year’s series includes:
July 24, OH SHIP!: Set aboard a private yacht, this all-white dress code party will sail around the city on New York’s scenic Hudson River. Partners cohost a VIP product-gifting suite on the lush lower deck for select influencer attendees.
July 31, The Sleepover: The classic slumber party reinvents itself for adults at one of New York’s hottest nightlife locations in the Meatpacking District – featuring a surprise performance.
“We’re thrilled to be joining Team Epiphany for another year of Summer Fridays. Complex and Team Epiphany are two powerhouses known for making culture pop. Oh Ship! and The Sleepover are definitely the best parties of the summer—possibly the year,” said Moksha Fitzgibbons, Chief of Brand Partnerships of Complex.
Launched in 2009 as SoBe Summer Fridays, the inaugural series included six events sponsored by Pepsi’s SoBe Lifewater. Rebranded in June 2012 as #SUMMERFRIDAYS, highlights from last year’s edition included a listening session with hip-hop artist Wiz Khalifa, as well as surprise performances by DJ Mustard and singer Tinashe.
