Taraji P. Henson Discusses the Struggle of Women and Darker Skin in Hollywood

Taraji P. Henson has come a long way since the movie “Baby Boy,” where I can still her saying “Jody!” only in a way that she can. The Hollywood star is now dominating the airwaves starring as Cookie on the almost too hot for TV drama, Empire. The thing I believe most people love about Taraji is her confidence, beauty, and the fact she appears to truly embrace everything about herself.

She is proud mom, she embraces her culture, and she is comfortable with her age unlike many in Hollywood. The Critics Choice Award winner spoke to the Associated Press about embracing the skin she is in and the struggles of women in Hollywood. Check out the clip to see what she had to say.
