RFFocus the leading urban industry trade got a chance to talk to Industry legend PD over the weekend to get an update about the floods and voting.

“We were on generator power from Monday until early this Saturday morning. We’re in the same building with Hot 97 so both staff’s shared food and water. WBLS stayed on the air the entire time but our AM WLIB is still out due to our transmitters in Jersey under water for a couple days. We’ve been giving out info. Where to get gas, food, even a charge for your phone. We’re just working to provide info, ease frustration, all while still working to get out the vote this Tuesday. We’ll be offering rides to the polls for those in need as well. Have to thank our incredible staff and engineers who slept at the station and at a hotel that lost power.”
