Sean Paul Nominated for Several Awards as he Embarks on the “Tomahawk Technique” Tour

release of “Tomahawk Technique” on September 18th, has been
nominated for a Award (Best Caribbean Performance), Music of
Black Origin (MOBO) Award (Best Reggae Act) and MTV Europe Music Award
(Best World Stage). The nominations are the latest in a string of
accolades for the Grammy and American Music Award winning artist, who
has seen his latest album top the charts across the globe. Anchored by
the recently released smash single “How Deep Is Your Love” featuring
Kelly Rowland, “Got 2 Luv U” featuring Alexis Jordan and “She Doesn’t
Mind,” “Tomahawk Technique” has been strategically released in
different territories over the past few months to universally rave

“I am incredibly thankful for these nominations and for the support of
all of my fans,” said Sean Paul. “To see the continued appreciation for
my music and my performances is a great feeling.”

This marks the fourth MOBO Award nomination for Sean Paul (including
wins for Best Reggae Act in 2006 & 2009), the third Soul Train Award
nomination (including a win for Best Reggae Artist in 2009) and the
second MTV Europe Music Award nomination (including a win for Best New
Act). Currently in the midst of a US , Paul has sold over 10
Million albums worldwide since bursting onto the scene in 2000 with
“Stage One.” His latest effort, “Tomahawk Technique,”was recorded with
a star-studded collection of collaborators including Benny Blanco (Katy
Perry, Justin Bieber, Wiz Khalifa, Ke$ha), Norwegian duo Stargate
(Rihanna, Ne-Yo, Chris Brown) and superstar producer Rico Love (Usher,
Natasha Bedingfield, Beyonce), resulting in an album filled with chart
topping hits. Taking an interest in every aspect of the album, Sean
Paul even designed the cover art for the project.

“Tomahawk Technique” is the next step in Sean’s continual pop
dominance, the next in a wave of classic albums that also includes the
multi-platinum, Grammy-winning classic Dutty Rock and the platinum
smash The Trinity. With an undeniable track record for crafting hit
singles as a solo artist, including cuts like “Get Busy,” “Gimme The
Light,” “Like Glue,” “We Be Burnin'” and “Temperature,” as well as a
history of taking other artists’ songs to the next level through tracks
like Beyonce’s “Baby Boy,” Jay Sean’s “Do You Remember” and Eve’s “Give
It To You,” Sean Paul has established himself as one of the seminal pop
voices of his generation. These successes have earned him a plethora of
awards including the 2006 American Music Award for Favorite Pop/Rock
