The SAG Awards Shows The Oscars the Meaning of Diversity

With all the controversy surrounding the Oscars and the # movement, it was refreshing to see the SAG Awards show the Academy how it’s done. The 22nd Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles offered a little something different to some well deserving actors with awards handed out to Queen Latifah, Uzo Aduba, Viola Davis and Idris Elba. Also, “Orange is the New Black,” which happens to have one the most diverse casts on television took home best comedy ensemble award for the second year in a row.

Leonardo DiCaprio also took home an award and his first SAG award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role for ‘The Revenant.’ I don’t know how in hell this man has not won at least one SAG Award or Oscar before this.

Hassahn is no stranger to the power of words. Just as Lebron took his talents to South Beach, the Chicago native has taken his talents to Hollywood and beyond. His ability to manipulate the English language has led to a career using his gift. He currently writes songs for TV/Film; he has co-written a book alongside Dr. Kerby T Alvy Ph.D; Hassahn produced and wrote DEMOs documentary film, and of course he scribes for Radio Facts on the daily.
