Washington DC – The nationwide contest to find the next ‘super producer’ which started in August is moving to the semi finals stage in Chicago on September 28. The House of Rémy Martin has launched the Producers Series in 2015 as a contest that provides a platform for up and coming producers to have their music heard, recognized and celebrated.
The preliminary round saw a 13-city search for the best amateur producers the US has to offer, with the winners for each round securing their place in the semi finals. This round begins on September 28 with the grand finale of the contest taking place on November 9 in Las Vegas. Two wildcard entries will join the preliminary winners for the five semi final events, once that round is completed, the five finalists will be flown to Las Vegas, for the Grand Finale and a chance to win $4,900 to put towards building their own personal music studio.

Grammy award winner, Zaytoven, the super producer judge for the semifinals round, who most recently worked with Migos on their ‘Culture’ album, commented: “I’m really looking forward to sharing my story and success with the next wave of top producers. This is a great opportunity for the innovators.”
The power of Remy Producers to get up and coming music producers recognized is real. A Season two finalist featured on the Colbert Show with the super-producer of that season, Wyclef Jean who performed the song he produced. He also featured in the video. Buda & Grandz, a production duo are now creating beats for rappers, Jadakiss and Dave East. And in season three, Wyclef Jean selected Wavie Boi, from Milwaukee, to produce the lead single on his album ‘J’ouvert’.
Each event will be hosted by DTLR radio DJ, Jay Claxton and contestants will be judged by the super producer, local radio personalities and DJs, as well as record label executives: Theo Brown, Independent Radio Specialist, Rebekah ‘Rebe’ Espinosa, Senior Marketing and Lifestyle Manager at Universal Music Group and Vashon “Rap” Straws, National Director of Rap Promotion and Lifestyle Marketing at Republic Records.
