Ratings Show Chicago Has Love for iHeart Media Stations

iheartmedia-600x338iHeart Media is ruling the airwaves in the Chicago land area. iHeart landed four of its seven Chicago stations in the top 10 rankings, which is another way of almost saying they are controlling 40% of the top tier stations in the Windy City. Urban adult-contemporary WVAZ FM 102.7 sits at the top of the throne. Steve Harvey’s syndicated morning show, which is aired on 102.7, is the number three morning show in the city. Radio legend Doug Banks holds down the number two spot for all afternoon drive shows in the city and his syndicated show is also played on WVAZ FM 102.7.

Nielsen Audio ratings released Tuesday showed the company’s Top 40 WKSC FM 103.5, urban contemporary WGCI FM 107.5 and adult contemporary WLIT FM 93.9 also in the top 10 among all listeners for the period from August 13th to September 9th. In the end, iHeart Media has Chicago on lock for now.
