Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr., better known as Lil’ Wayne, was escorted by security out of the American Airlines Arena yesterday during Miami Heat’s win over the L.A. Lakers.
A spectator who was seated near the rapper also sometimes referred to as Weezy took to Twitter @kixsquare to describe the brewing fracas: “Random guy yelled at Lil Wayne at #MiamiHEAT game, Weezy looked back, gave him a mean stare & gestured he had a gun.” The sports fan named Danny Vega, who also runs an online sneaker boutique, continued: “Weezy just got into argument with security at the #MiamiHEAT game. He got kicked out for gun gesture.”
Carter is no stranger to violence, having served served eight months in jail on weapons possession charges. He presently faces a lawsuit from a fan who alleges that one of Carter’s employees hit him on the head with a skateboard. Earlier this month, Carter was involved in a near confrontation with a Super Bowl cameraman at the DirecTV Celebrity Beach Bowl.
