Radio Vet Programmer Elroy Smith Buys Translator Near Chicago

RFFocus is THRILLED to announce that another programming legend is moving into the industry entrepreneur realm by buying a translator close to his most successful radio playground Chicago, Ill. Congrats to Radio vet Elroy Smith on his recent purchase of 100.7 W264BF. This is Elroy’s second purchase during his career but his first near Chicago. Smith purchased the translator for a record-breaking 4.6 million, currently operating at 2 watts with an option to increase to 10. Smith’s most recent  position was as Operations Manger in Philadelphia for Radio One as well as the OM for the inspirational format at Radio One. Before that he was the PD for iHeartmedia (formerly Clear Channel)’s WGCI and OM for WVAZ in Chicago. We expect great things from Elroy and will certainly follow-up on his success.
