Radio One Promotes One of Its Own To Vice President of National and Corporate Sales

Josh Rahmani, the current Director of Sales for Reach Media, the syndication company of Radio One, has been promoted to Vice President, National and Corporate Sales for the local radio group of Radio One. This is quite an accomplishment for a man who literally climbed the ladder of success at Radio One.

Rahmani started his career at Radio One in 2005 as a Corporate Sales Assistant after graduating from the University of Maryland with a BA in Communications. Demonstrating a strong business development aptitude and desire to learn, Rahmani was steadily promoted to an Account Executive, Director of Sales and ultimately served as the Director of Ad Sales for Reach Media. Rahmani relocated from Washington, DC to New Year City in 2010 to focus on and super-serve key east coast agency and client partners. After three years of outstanding performance with evidence of his expertise leveraging Radio One’s cross-platform assets and growing revenue not only for local, national and network radio, but also for digital properties and events, Rahmani will now oversee all national and corporate sales.

David Kantor, CEO, Reach Media and the Radio Group of Radio One said, “Josh literally grew up at Radio One. I’ve watched him develop into a savvy salesman and leader who has earned the respect of his peers and superiors. I have every confidence that he will meet our expectations and continue to develop our team and grow revenue.”

“I am very excited to continue my career here at Radio One where I have learned the business from the ground up for the past 11 years, said Rahmani. “I look forward to working more closely with the outstanding group of national sales managers Radio One already has in place to bring the massive reach and cultural influence of Radio One to our valued advertisers. I’d like to thank Cathy Hughes and Alfred Liggins for their continued support and for providing me with this great opportunity.”
