Radio Personality Ty Wansley Passes Away

RFFocus is sad to report the passing of radio personality, Ty Wansley. The very popular Mr. Wansley was a former St. Louis resident and staple in the STL radio community. He later transitioned to Chicago where he spent 35 years as a radio-show host. It has been reported that Wansley died of congestive heart failure at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He was 63 years old at the time of his death. Wansley most recently was news and information director for three urban-contemporary iHeartMedia stations in the Chicago area, where he anchored news and public affairs shows. RFFocus would like to send our sincere condolences to Ty Wansley’s family, friends, and fans. The funeral arrangements have not been set as of yet but we will keep you posted.

His ability to manipulate the English language has led to a career using his gift. He currently writes songs for TV/Film; he has co-written a book alongside Dr. Kerby T Alvy Ph.D; Hassahn produced and wrote DEMOs documentary film, and of course he scribes for Radio Facts on the daily.
