(Richmond, VA…November 30, 2016): Today, Radio One Richmond announced the promotion of Paris Nicole, WCDX-FM IPOWER 92.1/104.1Midday Personality and native of Richmond, VA to Assistant Program Director.

A life-long radio lover, Paris can now add programming to her credits. In addition to her on-air duties, Paris will assist in all aspects of WCDX iPOWER programming from music selection and scheduling to programming administrative duties, in addition to assisting with the planning and execution of station events.

“Paris is a rising star with unparalleled desire and passion that will help take the iPOWER 92.1/104.1 team to the next level,” said Yonni Rude, Operations Manager, Radio One Richmond.

Paris began her career in radio at 16 years old as an intern at a local radio station. This experience and unique exposure ignited her passion for broadcasting and defined her career trajectory. Paris went on to graduate from Hampton University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism.

Serious about using her talent and influence to impact lives, Paris, known throughout Richmond as “The Fly Chick,” also serves as a community advocate with her “Fly Kids Coat Drive,” “Fly for Prom,” and “Fly for School” campaigns. Paris is a captivating presence on and off the air. Her talent and insight has been featured in top publications such as XXL, Bossip, Centric, and MTV. She also served as the official host of Virginia for President Barack Obama’s “DJs for Obama” campaign in 2012.
