ole, one of the world’s foremost rights management companies, has hired Randall Foster, formerly of Naxos of America, as Senior Director of Creative Licensing. Foster will join ole’s Synchronization & Licensing department, reporting directly to Chief Operating Officer Lou Ragagnin. He will be based in Nashville.
“Foster is an excellent addition to the ole team, and we’re thrilled to have him join our already successful operation,” said Robert Ott, Chairman and CEO of ole. “With his extensive experience in digital media, digital music, DRM, music licensing, music publishing, and production, Foster is ideally suited to handle anything that may come his way in our Synchronization & Licensing department. We’re confident that he will be able to land high-quality placements for our artists and writers and ensure that they are paid fairly for the use of their work.”
“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work with ole and all of the amazing artists and catalogs they represent,” said Foster. “Throughout my career, I’ve fought hard to make sure that our clients get the best exposure possible through sync placements and licensing, all while keeping an eye toward fair payment for their work. I’m looking forward to bringing what I’ve learned to ole, and to adding value to our clients by providing best in class service.”
Foster got his start at MTV Latin America, where he worked in licensing and copyright clearance. He moved to Naxos of America in July 2005, working his way up from Sales and Marketing Representative, to Licensing and Business Development Manager, to Director of Licensing and Business Development Manager. Along the way, he also launched specialty imprint record label Naxos Wind Band Classics, serving as Label Manager and handling A&R. Foster holds a Bachelor of General Studies degree in History with a Minor in Sociology and a Minor Emphasis in Music History from The University of Kansas, as well as a Master’s of Music Business and Entertainment Industries from the University of Miami.
