WUBT (The Beat’s) Curtis “Scooby” Senior this past Saturday, Feb. 18. “Scooby” was one half of “Dolewite and Scooby”, tag-teaming show who had long presided over the 7:00-10:00 P.M. shift at WUBT-.1 The Beat, Nashville’s leading R&;B/Hip-Hop station; the duo were so popular, they had recently been given the coveted drivetime hours. Senior was not in Nashville this weekend, but was in fact visiting family in Detroit; Saturday afternoon, he was hospitalized for heart complications which, a few hours later, proved fatal. 1. My daughter listened to the show every evening when I pick her up from daycare. Her favorite part of the show was saying ‘Dolewite and SCOOBY!’ He will be truly missed by myself and my family. Thank you for all the time you gave us on the radio. Even though I didn’t know Scooby, it felt like he was a part of my family. My condolences to the family. Scooby will be truly missed but never forgotten. R.I.P. Scooby.
