Power 99 and Coors Light Introduce “The Movement”

Embracing the Underground Hip-Hop Movement in Philadelphia

,   June 24, 2011 ““  Power 99 and Coors Light are collaborating this summer to bring together underground Hip-Hop artists in the city for “The Movement” – a series of weekly studio performances. “The Movement” features a collective of producers, DJs, lyricists and artists in Philly reminiscent of the days when the music scene around town was thriving with the Black Lily underground series.   This time around “The Movement” will  focus solely on Hip-Hop. The studio sessions are streamed live at www.power99.com every Wednesday at 5:00 PM and are open and free to the public. Those interested can go to www.power99.com keyword “movement” and RSVP for any of the upcoming studio sessions.


“The Movement” 2011 Underground Summer series lineup has already featured Verso, Moosh and Twist and Ethel Cee.   Coming up Power 99 will feature Chill Moody, Writtenhouse, Hezekiah, Young Savage, Aquil, Dave Ghetto, Amir Taron, Ako and Fel Sweetenberg.
