KSOC Flips Format, Joyner Out, Classic Hip Hop Takes Over at Two Dallas Stations

Joyner Out at Ksoul94.5 as Station Flips Format

Radio One has changed the format for KSOC radio in Dallas, Tx. Listeners are going crazy trying to figure out what happened with KSoul’s 94.5 Old School R&B -TJMS and Tom is trending heavy today on RFFocus and now we know why. What happened is that Radio One has switched the format of KSOC to a new Classic Hip Hop Boom format. This means Tom is out along with the staff of the station.  Ironically a Cumulus station KLIF-FM previously I-93, has also taken on the Boom format now it’s Hot 93.3 and they started this past Friday before Radio One so this is the first time the format is competing with another Classic Hip Hop format. Los Angeles’ KDAY was first to implement the Classic Hip Hop format. Radio One has launched this format in Houston, Philadelphia, and now Dallas.

For Dallas/Fort Worth listeners The Tom Joyner Morning show can still be heard on the live stream every morning from 5am – 9am and then repeated throughout the day. They can stream online around the clock on BlackAmericaWeb.com and download the Tom Joyner Morning Show app on their smart phones as well. http://www.tjms.com/stream/.
