KJLH Celebrates 50 Years with Private Beach Party

The last week of August is my birthday and also the hottest week of the year in LA. Going to the beach is not usually an option but I had to make an exception for this monumental event. I’d like to thank kjlh for inviting me, a former jock at the station, to their 5oth anniversary party. I should have taken more pics but was so busy taking pics for my good friend and talking to people that I forgot to get more for myself. Was great to see many of my old station mates. Believe it or not, I have never met Steve Wonder until the event. I could not get a picture with him because so many people kept getting in front of me to get one. Instead of knocking them out the way, I let them have their chance but I’m determined to get a pic with my old boss soon.  Thanks to Greg Johnson and kjlh for some of these pics. If I get more I will post more. In the meantime, besides the pics, here is a short video of stevie wonder performing at the event that I managed to get.

Present and former jocks from KJLH. I was asked why I was not on stage. It was because I had just arrived when they called everybody and my big ass was not going to fall in the sand trying to run up there to take a pic.
