Hundreds attend DJ Law’s funeral


His fans will remember Lawrence ” ” Brown III’s distinctive voice and entertaining banter as on one half of The Boodah Brothers, -’s “103 Jamz” on-air morning team.

But others will remember Brown – who most simply called Law ““ as a man who helped jumpstart the careers of budding hip-hop , pulled wayward teenagers back on the life’s path and made sure dozens of Hampton Roads children had Christmas gifts under the tree.

As gospel music filled the sanctuary of First Baptist Church of Newport News Saturday, more than 700 friends and family showed up to pay their final respects to DJ Law. Law, 41, from a massive on Sept. 19. (read the whole story here)
