HOT 102.7 Brings Back Detroit Radio Icons…

Today at 3PM, HOT 102.7 welcomes back “MC SERCH” (born Michael Berrin) to the Detroit radio airwaves. For the next two weeks, he will host the afternoon drive show from 3 to 6 PM.
“Over the next few weeks, we will be showcasing different superstar personalities that once rocked the mic in Detroit ” said Radio One-Detroit Operations Manager Al Payne. “One will be the next Hot 102.7 ALL STAR.” MC SERCH, a resident of metro-Detroit, also hosted the VH1 reality series Ego Trip’s The (White) Rapper Show, last year. Ego Trip’s Miss Rap Supreme, is set to debut in 2008. MC SERCH, formerly hosted a popular morning show on a Detroit radio station after gaining acclaim as a member of the hip hop trio 3rd Bass. He is credited with discovering NAS and served as the executive producer of Nas’ Illmatic, one of the most critically acclaimed albums of the 1990s, and Nas’ second album It Was Written.
