HOT 102.7 Continues to Showcase Detroit Radio Icons…Now It’s “Reggie Reg”

Yesterday at 3PM, HOT 102.7 proudly announced the return of native Detroiter “REGGIE REG” (born Reginald Gary Davis, Jr.) to the Detroit radio airwaves. For the next two weeks, he will host the afternoon drive show from 3 PM to 6 PM.

REGGIE REG follows a two-week stint, in the same capacity, by metro-Detroit resident MC SERCH, who recently hosted the VH1 reality series Ego Trip’s The (White) Rapper Show, last year and is debuting the follow-up show, Ego Trip’s Miss Rap Supreme this year.

“HOT102.7 received hundreds of calls and emails from Detroit saying how refreshing it was to hear MC SERCH and his crew over the past few weeks,” said Radio One-Detroit Operations Manager AL PAYNE. “He truly raised the bar.”

“Now, things remain in the family with YO CUZIN’ REGGIE REG, and he’s guaranteed us some major surprises every day! I am honored to be able to showcase the talent of these extremely entertaining gentlemen on HOT1027Detroit.com,” remarked PAYNE.

REGGIE REG, a product of Detroit’s Murray-Wright High School (Class of 1989), hosted the top ranked afternoon drive show in Detroit from 1999-2005. He was also nationally nominated for the 2001 Personality of The Year Award by Radio and Records magazine and ranked amongst the top of the list on the Native Detroiter’s 50 Most Successful Single Men in Detroit for the year 2001.

REGGIE REG can be heard from weekdays from 3PM-6PM, starting on Monday, January 28 and continuing through Friday, February 8, 2008 on HOT 102.7 FM or online at www.hot1027detroit.com.
