Huntsville police spokesperson Harry Hobbs said Marcus Pierre Jackson was charged with two counts of sexual abuse of a child under 12-years-old and four counts of sodomy.
Hobbs said a 9-year-old boy, the son of a friend of Jackson’s, was victimized several times over the past year but recently told a health care professional, who told the boy’s mother.
Huntsville police investigated the allegations and booked Jackson into the Madison County jail at about 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, jail records indicate.
Jackson was a volunteer gospel music DJ at WDJL radio, according to Valerie Edwards, WDJLs office manager. Edwards confirmed that Jackson worked at the radio station but as a volunteer on a Saturday radio program.
Jackson is being held on $190,000 bond.
