Gospel DJ Charged with Child Sexual Abuse

 width=HUNTSVILLE, ALABAMA – A 24-year- was arrested on child sexual abuse charges, police said.

Huntsville police spokesperson Harry Hobbs said Marcus Pierre Jackson was charged with two counts of sexual abuse of a child under 12-years-old and four counts of sodomy.

Hobbs said a 9-year-old boy, the son of a friend of Jackson’s,  was victimized over the past year but recently told a health care professional, who told the boy’s mother.

Huntsville police investigated the allegations and  booked Jackson into the Madison County jail at about 8:45 p.m.  Wednesday, jail records indicate.

Jackson was a volunteer DJ at WDJL radio, according to Valerie  Edwards, WDJLs office manager. Edwards confirmed that Jackson worked at the but as a volunteer on a Saturday .

Jackson is being held on $190,000 bond.
