  4. Sonya Hamm will most definetly be missed. I would look forward to hearing her graceful, anointed voice over the airwaves. She always lifted my spirit and gave my heart gladness.

She will be missed by us all ,but God had another anouncement for har to make and even more spirits to lift.

My prayers are with you and your family-God bless.

  5. Yesterday they kept referring to Sonya in the past tense and my mind just instantly thought she had left the station..my heart just fell when I heard that she had passed away. My first thought was that she could not have been that old! She had a voice that could cheer you up and make you smile no matter what was going on in your life. She was a blessing to many and will be missed. I pray that God sends His strength and peace to her family in this time and know that you all are in my prayers. Goodbye Mrs. Hamm, you will be missed.

  6. Even in these times God is still with you all. You can rejoice knowing that she was a woman of God who inspired so many while here on earth through her radio broadcast. I was blessed when she first started working out of Raleigh. It touched me when I realized who they were referring to all week. God will bless and sustain His people even in times like this.

  7. It was truly a blessing to have known of Sonya Hamm. Her voice in the mornings on 103.9 back in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s gave me inspiration to get up in the mornings, sing along with those Gospel songs in the confines of my home out of the ear shot of others (smile) and the words she would speak helped me to get through my cancer and other tribulations. I also faithfully watched her on TV on Sunday mornings when she would host Spiritual Awakening on Channels “3” and “13”. On TV we could watch local Gospel Singers perform. Although I too am sorry that she has crossed over from us, I pray the Family will fine peace in knowing that she gave life to so many people through her broadcast programs on a daily basis. God bless this family of such a marvelous women.

  8. So Sadly Sorry but she is in a better place. She at home with our father in heaven. She was a beautiful person inside and out god bless her and her family love Susie and family.

  14. God’s peace be upon Sonya’s mom, husband and extended family. I was sad to hear today about Sonya’s passing. But how happy I am to know that her earthly journey was so successful and that she touched so many lives in such a spiritual way. I am not surprised. Sonya and I went to grade school together in NJ and we had a very special girlhood bond. She had such a sincere and kind spirit with a glint of childish giddiness. We used to laugh and giggle about things no one else (or so we thought) understood. I celebrate her life and thank God for allowing me to know her for the brief time that we shared as children. They were memorable and special times. God bless.
