Fresh 97.9 is Coming to Greenville

fresh-aIBX Media has announced the launch of Urban AC Fresh 97.9 Greenville’s R&B and Old School on WRHD-2 W250CJ. The new station will carry the nationally syndicated Russ Parr Morning Show, TBA in the afternoons, and the Sweat Hotel with R&B superstar Keith Sweat at Night. IBX has hired urban veteran Brian “B” Paiz as Brand Manager, who will also do the 10am-3pm shift daily. Paiz will handle the day to day operations of the station, along with IBX Media Operations Manager Dylan McKay.

The new Fresh 97.9 will feature R&B and from the 80’s, 90’s and 2K plus current R&B hits. The station will cater to the coveted 25-54 demo. Weekend programming will include the Saturday Night House Party, 6 hours of Old School Hip Hop and R&B in the mix, along with the syndicated Diggin’ in the Crates with Chubb Rock. Sundays will include soon TBA gospel music programming. “It is an honor to bring Fresh 97.9 to Greenville”, Paiz commented. “This station has been much needed and we look forward to entertaining our listeners and working with our local advertisers here in Greenville and Pitt County”
