The Black Eyed Peas’ released a music video for their record “Yesterday,” and it has been getting quite a bit of attention for its old school feel and vibe. Headkrack from the Rickey Smiley Morning Show even pointed out that this is the first Black Eyed Peas record he has been feeling in quite some time. Erykah Badu also seems to be feeling the video but she also noticed a few similarities between that video and her “Honey” music video.

In a Facebook post, Ms. Badu stated she felt The Black Eyed Peas “borrowed” the idea for their “Yesterday” video from her.
If you know anything about Erykah Badu, she is pretty chill so she took a chill approach to pointing out the obvious similarities.

“I think THE BLACK EYES PEAS borrowed my idea a Lil lol …I’m gone beat up Will I AM. I wrote and directed this joint. Won best director @ VMA’s.. So I understand, Pasha Shapiro.. Flattered. Cute video non the less,” Erykah Badu wrote in a Facebook post on July 19.

She also added links to both music videos to her Facebook post so the world could see the similarities. Check out the videos below and see for yourself.
