The transformative work of these nonprofit partners change the lives of constituents and communities everyday 107.5 WGCI-FM, 103.5 KISS-FM, V103, Inspiration 1390 AM, 93.9 MYfm and BIG 95.5 on-air personalities serve as ambassadors to nonprofit partners CHICAGO, IL. October 29, 2015 – iHeartMedia Chicago, one of the largest Chicago radio broadcasters with nearly 5 million weekly radio listeners, supports the Chicagoland community with the introduction of 21 new partners through iHeartMedia Communities, the community engagement division of the company. “iHeartMedia Chicago radio stations are the foundation of the Chicagoland community.

We are committed to using our resources and on-air personalities to create awareness about the services available from these 21 partners and other nonprofit organizations in our local community,” said Matt Scarano, Market President for iHeartMedia Chicago. iHeartMedia Chicago has adopted a streamlined application and interview process for nonprofits interested in receiving in-kind media that allows for more collaborative partnerships and equal consideration for Chicago organizations. iHeartMedia Chicago relies on its Local Advisory Board, a group comprised of 43 iHeartMedia Chicago executives and leaders in the local community, government and education system to help guide their support of community organizations. The Local Advisory Board, established in 2004, in conjunction with iHeartMedia Chicago has developed various community programs and support a range of issues like education, voter registration, health awareness, volunteerism, women’s issues and leadership. “Emerald City was proud to honor iHeartMedia Chicago earlier this year with the One Fund Corporate Award for their significant commitment to the community and nonprofit organizations,” said Karen Cardarelli, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Emerald City Theatre and member of iHeartMedia Chicago’s Local Advisory Board. “Emerald City Theatre is excited to continue its partnership with iHeartMedia Chicago and further deepen our collective impact on Chicago’s children.”

iHeartMedia Chicago’s 2015-2016 partners, which were chosen through the streamlined application process and will run from October 2015 through August 2016, include: Gene Siskel Film Center of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago; Black Ensemble Theater; Foundations of Music; Polished Pebbles Girls Mentoring Program; Alzheimer’s Association – Greater Illinois Chapter; Chicago Public Library Foundation; DuSable Museum of African American History; USO of Illinois; Warrior Summit Coalition; Make-A-Wish® Illinois; A Safe Haven Foundation; Restoring the Path: Crushers Club; YWCA Metropolitan Chicago; City Year Chicago; Special Olympics Illinois/Special Children’s Charities; Emerald City Theatre; Back on My Feet Chicago; Little Black Pearl; John G. Shedd Aquarium; After School Matters; and Greater Chicago Food Depository. iHeartMedia Chicago has donated significant on-air and digital airtime to these organizations across its cluster of stations: 107.5 WGCI-FM, 103.5 KISS-FM, V103, Inspiration 1390 AM, 93.9 MYfm and BIG 95.5.
