Chicago Homicide Rate is Down but Thousands Still Shot This Year

Headlines like these appear far too often in newspapers. They say the homicide rate in is down from last year but the city is still the highest in all of the country at this time. They say ‘only” 355 people have been in the city but isn’t one murder too many? That is a rhetorical question. What they don’t tell you is that 1952 have actually been shot this year.
