The Hollywood Reporter is stating that Peter Edge has been promoted to the post of CEO of RCA Music Group, and Tom Corson is now president & COO, Doug Morris, CEO of Sony Music Entertainment, announced Monday. This past month Morris named former Def Jam exec L.A. Reid chairman & CEO of Epic Records. Edge will oversee the day-to-day operations of the group and its labels and report to Morris. His will oversee RCA, Jive, J and Arista, as well as their affiliate labels. His previous post was A&R of RCA Music Group, a role he started in 2007.
