Music publishing has always been significant but more and more companies are cashing in on it. With companies like TuneCore making strides in the industry, it only makes sense that other independent artist portals continue to expand their reach in the publishing world.
CD Baby announced the launch of its Pro tier in the UK. The service includes publishing administration for collecting royalties. The company already has more than 35,000 artists using its distribution service in the UK. “The UK represents one of our most vital member bases, and the launch of Pro means writers based there finally have a one-stop, simple solution for global music distribution and collection of all of the publishing royalties their music earns,” said Rob Filomena, the company’s director of music publishing.
