BMG Acquires S-Curve Records

bmgNew model music company BMG is pleased to announce it has acquired the recording and publishing assets of New York pop label S-Curve Records as it further builds its presence in the record business.

As part of the deal, S-Curve Founder and President, renowned pop executive Steve Greenberg and his general manager Milo Pacheco will join BMG with a brief to develop the company’s mainstream pop offering.

New York-based S-Curve is the third US label to be acquired by BMG following Los Angeles-based Vagrant Records and Portland, Oregon’s Rise Records.

Last month Janet Jackson’s Unbreakable became the first album released by the new BMG to reach Number One in the Billboard 200 album chart. Earlier in September BMG scored two simultaneous Top 10 entries in the Billboard 200 with Iron Maiden’s The Book Of Souls and Scarface’s Deeply Rooted.
