Entercom San Francisco announced the addition of Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame personality Renel Brooks-Moon to KBLX-FM 102.9. Renel will host the “Soul School Sundays” program airing Sundays from 5pm to 10pm PT beginning August 28th.
“A legend like Renel needs no introduction,” said Elroy Smith, Operations Manager, Entercom San Francisco. “Her tremendous accomplishments in this business speak for themselves, making this decision a no brainer for me. I can’t wait to hear her crack the mic for the first time on the KBLX airwaves.”
Renel’s decorated career spans over 30 years with a multitude of accolades including induction into the Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame in 2008. She was recognized by the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame as the first female announcer of a championship game in any major professional sport and continues to serve as Public Address Announcer for the San Francisco Giants. Renel also spent 9 years on-air with KMEL-FM 106.1 and an additional 17 years on KISQ-FM 98.1 in morning drive.
